WASH SDO was registered with Ministry of Interior dated 22nd May 2017 as non-profit organization, non-religious, political or government affiliation, where we are a lead organization on WASH capacity building managed by a dynamic group of Cambodians who are qualified, skilled and experienced professionally validated by the CAWST Canada. Address the WASH capacity gap in Cambodia by offering training, consulting and advisory services, and supporting sector-wide learning and exchange. WASH SDO helped develop skills to 1155 participants (442 women) including international and local organizations, government departments and private companies. We specifically work to address the WASH capacity gap in Cambodia by offering training, consulting and advisory services, as well as supporting sector-wide learning and exchange.

Increased brand recognition as a preferred provider of advisory and consultancy WASH services locally and internationally

The importance of increasing brand recognition as a trusted and sought-after provider of advisory and consultancy services in the WASH sector, both locally and internationally. To achieve this pillar, the organization will focus on building a strong brand identity and reputation. This will involve strengthening networks with local and international WASH sector working group members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality advisory and consultancy services, and actively engaging with the WASH sector through social media platforms and promotional materials. To realize this pillar, targeted marketing and outreach efforts will be implemented. These initiatives will highlight the organization’s expertise, reliability, and commitment to meeting the needs and expectations of its customers. By consistently delivery exceptional services and maintaining strong relationships within the WASH sector, WASH SDO aims to establish itself as a preferred provider of advisory and consultancy services, both locally and on the global stage.

Enhanced capacity of WASH implementers to effectively deliver services and implement their project

focuses on strengthening the capacity of WASH implementers to effectively deliver services and carry out their projects. This will be achieved through the provision of comprehensive and tailored training and capacity-building programs that align with the specific requirements of different stakeholders. The organization will prioritize the development and adaptation of capacity-building initiatives, including training programs, to address the demands and needs outlined in the national action plan for national and subnational authorities, WASH implementers, and stakeholders. These capacity-building efforts will encompass technical training, focusing on best practices in WASH service delivery. Additionally, broader capacity-building initiatives will target areas such as project management, financial management, and community engagement. By equipping WASH implementers with the necessary in implementing projects and delivering sustainable WASH services. This will contribute to the overall improvement of water, sanitation, and hygiene conditions in communities served by these implementers.

Increased confidence among target national, sub-national authorities, and private operators to provide inclusive and climate-resilient WASH services

focuses on enhancing the confidence of target national, sub-national authorities, and private operators in delivering inclusive and climate-resilient WASH services. To achieve this, The organization will leverage the WASH skills and expertise of national authorities through the Capacity Development Plan (CDP) on inclusive and climate-resilient WASH. Furthermore, it will strengthen sub-national authorities and non-government service providers by promoting the Open Defecation Free Plus (ODF+) strategy and emphasizing inclusivity and climate resilience in WASH, thereby increasing their confidence in providing effective services. Additionally, WASH SDO will facilitate open dialogue forums involving national and sub-national authorities, private operators, stakeholders, funding development partners, and implementers. These forums will serve as platforms for knowledge sharing and will contribute to the strengthening of the WASH sector. The organization will work closely with these stakeholders to develop and implement inclusive and climate-resilient WASH strategies and programs tailored to meet the specific needs of diverse communities.
